Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, Patiala was established in 1961 and is Asia's largest Sports Institute. It is housed in the palatial monumental building and sprawling lawns built by the erstwhile Maharaja of Patiala and has produced coaches of high caliber.

Eligibility:

o                                Graduate Degree from any recognized Indian/Foreign University

o                                Diploma in Sports Coaching from SAI, NSNIS, Patiala or its other academic

o                                centers with minimum 60% marks.

o                                Aptitude for research work

o                                Proficiency in Sports

Age Limit: Not more than 45 years, on the date of commencement of the course (Upper age limit can be relaxed up to three years in case of deserving candidates).

o                                Prospectus containing the details and application form can be obtained from office of the Executive Director, SAI NS NIS, Patiala on payment of Rs.500/- on counter or through post by sending demand draft of Rs.550/- drawn on SBOP/SBI payable at Patiala in favour of Executive Director, SAI NSNIS, Patiala. The last date for receipt of duty completed applications at SAI NS NIS Patiala is 15-5-2011.  Admission tests will be held in the last week of June and the course will start in second week of July, 2011 positively.

o                                The application form can also be downloaded from our website also (www.nsnis.org) If a candidate applies on the downloaded application form, he/she must enclose a demand draft of Rs. 500/- with application form, drawn in favour of Executive Director (Acad).

Selection Procedure: The selection of the candidate will be based on the performance in the admission tests and interview besides qualifications and experience.
