TamilNadu Mercantile Bank - Clerks /Technical Officer (IT)

Applications are invited for the posts of:

1. Clerks

Qualification:

A Graduate with 55% marks or a Post Graduate, from a recognized University in regular course with knowledge in Computer Operations.

Age: Maximum: For Graduates: 24 years and for Post Graduates 26 years as on Sep 30, 2010.

Relaxation for MBC / BC will be 2 years. Relaxation for SC / ST / Physically Handicapped will be 5 years.

Fee:

Candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs. 200.00 (Rs. 100.00 for SC / ST Candidates) by way of crossed demand draft drawn in favour of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd. Payable at Thoothukudi / Tuticorin.

Procedure for selection:

The candidates should appear for written examination to be held at Chennai, Bangalore, Vijayawada, Madurai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Salem, Tirunelveli, and Thoothukudi centres. The written examination will be of objective type. After evaluation on the basis of the written test, candidates will be short listed for an interview in the order of merit.

Last Date for Filing Online e-Application is Dec 20, 2010.

The said hard copy of the e-Application along with the demand draft and enclosures stated above should reach us within 5 days from the date of Online eApplication registration but not later than Dec 27, 2010.

1.                              Technical Officer(IT)

Database Administrator (Scale - I / II):

The candidate is required to be overall responsible for Supervising, Managing, Maintaining, Tuning, Replicating, Updating, etc. of the Data Bases of the Bank on a continuous basis. The candidate will also be required to Monitor and Manage the applications of the Bank.
The ideal candidate should be a B.E. / B.Tech. in Computer Science / Electronics / Electrical or MCA or MSc (IT/Computer Science) or M.Sc (Maths/Physics) with Diploma in Computer Applications from a reputed University with 60% marks with minimum 1 to 3 years experience in Enterprise wide Data Base Management or areas related to Data Base Administration in a large organization. The candidate should also be proficient in Oracle DBA Functions and SQL and should have undergone formal advanced DBA training programme from a reputed institution. Preference will be given to candidates with Certification in Oracle and familiar with IBM-AIX. Candidates having experience in Banking & Financial Institutions / Appropriate Certification are preferred.
Age Limit: Not more than 35 years as on 30.09.2010.

Security Administrator (Scale - II / III):

The candidate is required to Implement, Monitor, Review, Supervise and Update the Security Policies of the Bank and set up the Security Infrastructure at various offices of the Bank.
The ideal candidate should be a B.E. / B.Tech. in IT / Computer Science / Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication or MCA from a reputed University with minimum 60% marks. CISA or CISSP or DISA (Institute of Charted Accountants) qualification with 3 to 5 years experience in Networking / Security in a large organization or PSU having OLTP will be an added advantage. Candidates having experience in Banking & Financial Institutions / Appropriate Certification are preferred.
Age Limit: Not more than 35 years as on 30.09.2010.

Hardware Maintenance/System Administrator (Scale - I / II):

The candidate will be required to manage the Hardware and Operating Systems including patch updation, testing, sign off and liaison with the suppliers. The candidate will also be required to Implement, Manage, Monitor and Update the Security Infrastructure and Policies of the Bank at various offices/branches on a continuous basis.
The ideal candidate should be a B.E / B.Tech. in Computer Science/ IT / Electrical / Electronics / MCA or MSc (IT/Computer Science) or M.Sc (Maths/Physics) with Diploma in Computer Applications from a reputed University with minimum 60% marks. The candidates need to have minimum 1 to 3 years experience in IT related areas in a large commercial organization. Preference will be given to candidates familiar with IBM-AIX. Candidates having experience in Banking & Financial Institutions / Appropriate Certification are preferred.
Age Limit: Not more than 35 years as on 30.09.2010.

Research & Development (Systems/Applications) (Scale - I / II):

The candidate will be required to develop/ design/program on application development and is required to manage software applications and ensure quality process and is required to control programming process / system / application development. The ideal candidate should be a B.E. / B.Tech. in Computers / IT / Electrical / Electronics / MCA / MSc (IT/Comp. Science) or MSc (Maths / Physics) with Diploma in Computer Science from a reputed University, with 60% marks. The candidates need to have minimum 1 to 3 years experience in software development,/testing & maintenance of packages in Oracle/Unix/Windows/C environment. Candidates having experience in Banking & Financial Institutions / Appropriate Certification are preferred.
Age Limit: Not more than 35 years as on 30.09.2010.

General Conditions for all the above jobs:

Probationary Period:

The candidates will be on probation for a period of one year. At the end of the probationary period they will be subjected to a screening process to evaluate their performance before being confirmed in service. Probation may also be extended.

Procedure for selection:

The candidates should appear for Interview. The Venue, Date and Time for Interview will be communicated to the eligible candidates individually. Bank may also consider conducting Aptitude Test before interview, if required.

Place of Posting:

The selected candidates should be prepared to serve at Chennai or anywhere in INDIA.
