VITEEE 2011 Notification

VIT University (Vellore Institute of Technology) issued VITEEE – 2011 notification for admission to B.Tech. programmes in Vellore and Chennai campuses. VIT is one of the highly reputed private engineering education providers in the country. VIT conducts VIT Engineering Entrance Examination on 16th April 2011 across the country along with Singapore, Dubai and Riyadh. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online through www.vit.ac.in

 You can also obtain application from designated post offices. VIT has excellent record in providing placements to its students. Following are the B.Tech. programmes offered at VIT campuses:

Vellore Campus: Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) / Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)/ Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. (EIE) Computer Science and Engineering. (CSE) / Civil Engineering (CE) / Information Technology (IT)/ Biomedical Engineering (BME)/ Biotechnology (BT) / Bioinformatics / Mechanical Engineering (MEC) / Mechanical Engineering. (Chemical Process Engineering) / Mechanical Engineering. (Energy Engineering)/ Mechanical Engineering.( Automotive Engineering).

Chennai Campus: Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)/ Computer Science and Engineering. (CSE)/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE)/ Civil Engineering (CE) / Mechanical Engineering (MEC).

Essential Eligibility: Candidates should have passed in Intermediate / 10+2 with minimum 60 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB). Those studied Biology along with Physics, Chemistry will be considered for B.Tech. Bioinformatics, Biotechnology and Biomedical Engineering only. Candidates appearing their final year exams in 2011 also eligible to apply.

VIT offers number of scholarships for meritorious students under ‘GV Schools Development Programme (GVSDP) based on the performance in VITEEE. The scholarships cover full duration of the course. Following are details:

1. First (1) to 100 rankers in VITEEE will 70 percent tuition fee waiver.
2. Those secured 51 – 100 ranks in VITEEE are eligible to get 50 percent fee waiver.
3. Toppers of State Board Exams (One from each state) will get 100 percent fee waiver.

1. Start Issue of Application forms: From December 06, 2010 to February 28, 2011.
2. Last Date for receipt of completed forms at VIT: February 28, 2011
