Broad area of research at the institute is Plant Bioresources and Microbial Bioresources.
Selected candidates shall be eligible for the monthly stipend and annual contingency grant which will be higher than that of normal fellowship programmes.
Ph.D programmes: Admission to the Ph.D programme shall be done in the month of December 2010.
The programme will start on 1st week of January 2011; candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC NET/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/ICAR-JRF examination are eligible for direct interview
Eligibility: Candidates shall be eligible for registration in an ongoing programme of research in IBSD leading to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D), if he/she has obtained 55% marks in aggregate (B or B+ only in the 10 point scale) in the master’s degree examination.
A candidate belonging to SC/ST who has obtain 50% marks in aggregate in master degree examination shall be eligible for registration.
